Agency Profile:

Arizona Game & Fish Department

Bill David

I started my aviation career just out of high school by working for one of the local crop dusters loading aircraft and flagging. I soon decided I wanted to be inside the aircraft rather than outside. After obtaining private and commercial ratings I flew crop dusters for 7 years. Since 1989 I have been with the Arizona Game and Fish Department averaging about 850 flight hours a year. I have since obtained commercial instrument SES and ATP MEL.

Arizona G&FD operates 5 aircraft, a Piper Super Cub, Cessna 182, Cessna 185, Cessna 206, and a Twin Cessna 404. Missions include radio telemetry, game surveys; law enforcement patrols both day and night, passenger transport, and aerial photography, and other miscellaneous flights totaling about 3200 hours a year for our flight department.

My interests include time with my family, I’m an avid fly fisherman, I love old seaplanes, and a good book.

I enjoy being an active member with IANRP and hope to keep promoting our associations’ objectives.
